Salon Coordinators required.

Position Summary:

To assist Front of House with offering excellent customer service in all areas of the Salon and Spa, ensuring the smooth co-ordination between front of house and overseeing the assistant team.

To assist service providers as needed by shampooing guests, carrying out stress relieving rituals, Hair Spa treatments and Hot Towel procedures and, where appropriate, blow drying, finishing guests, turning around treatment rooms and manicure/pedicure chairs. Maintain the appearance of the salon by carrying out housekeeping duties on a timely basis, including tidying work stations, the backwash and replenishing disposable and hot towels. Participate in and complete the Coordinator and Front of House Training Programs.

Coordinator Responsibilities:

  • Confirm daily schedule with Front of House.
  • Schedule assistant/coordinator zones and lunches.
  • Complete coordinator stock check list and restock back bar as needed in line with Sally Adams procedures.
  • Ensure all areas of the salon and spa are kept clean and tidy at all times.
  • Meet and greet guests and offer refreshments and magazines.
  • Follow Sally Adams gowning-up procedures.
  • Provide excellent customer service to all salon and spa guests.
  • Ensure that all guests receive Aveda Sensory Experiences and Rituals.
  • Carry out patch tests as directed in line with Sally Adams and Aveda procedures.
  • Participate in and complete the Coordinator and Front of House Training Program to excellent standards.
  • Attend all salon meetings, Aveda-sponsored classes, functions, and events as required or directed by Sally Adams LLP for professional development.
  • Become knowledgeable about all Aveda retail products in order to assist guests in the salon and on the salon floor.
  • Comply with Sally Adams polices and procedures.
  • Demonstrate flexibility to work shifts/late nights/weekends and attend training in line with the needs of the business.


Front of House Responsibilities:

  • Taking all telephone calls quickly and efficiently, dealing with enquiries, bookings and cancellations in an appropriate manner.
  • Arranging appointments appropriately based on staff availability. If guests cannot be accommodated at their requested time/day, offer a satisfactory alternative and add to the salon waiting/cancellation list.
  • Contacting guests if alternative arrangements need to be made.
  • Meet and greet guests and offer refreshments and magazines
  • Follow Sally Adams gowning-up procedures.
  • Provide excellent customer service to all salon and spa guests.
  • Become knowledgeable about all Aveda retail products in order to assist guests in the retail area.
  • Communicate with team members when their guests have arrived or of any change to schedule.
  • Be aware of all salon and spa guest procedures.
  • Handling bill payments and Gift voucher sales.
  • Ensure Reception desk is clean and tidy at all times.
  • Ensure Retail area is clean and tidy at all times.
  • Be aware of all Health & Safety procedures including Fire safety.
  • Cashing up accurately and reporting to Salon Manager.


Housekeeping:

  • Assist in general housekeeping of the salon to ensure that it is always clean, tidy and welcoming in line with Sally Adams standards.
  • Participate in the reduction of waste and recycling when possible.


We have a full induction and training programme which includes in-salon training as well as courses at the Aveda Academy in London. In addition to the salary, we also offer great perks of working in a Salon/Spa environment.

We are open 7 days a week with one late night, and due to continued growth, we are now looking to extend our Salon Coordinator team to ensure a professional, high level of customer service at all times.

Job Type: This position is ideally to work 5 days (40 hours) Sunday -Thursday or Tuesday - Saturday, however we would consider someone who would like to work 4 days, therefore the salary would be pro-rata. Please note that the 4 day rota would still include 1 weekend day per week.
