Refill, is an award-winning campaign designed to help you reduce your plastic pollution, by making it easy to refill your reusable water bottle instead of buying a plastic one.
We’re not the only ones shouting about Refill, they were recently featured as one of VOGUE’s top 10 apps for living more sustainably.
So, what can we do about it? Refill offers a free and easy solution for preventing plastic pollution from single-use bottles at source. If just 1 in 10 Brits Refilled once a week, we’d save around 340 million plastic bottles a year.
The good news is that research has shown that 73% of us are concerned about plastic pollution and 64% of people surveyed said they would stop buying it if they could access tap water refills.
How it works; People that have downloaded the free app, can search for any location UK wide to see where they can fill up their re-useable water bottle for free. There are currently over 12,000 water stations in UK to date. Once they have filled up, they can tap the app which registers their participation and therefore measures their own personal impact.
