Guildford Cathedral Abseil in aid of Parkinson’s UK
Alison, our Business Manager is bravely taking on the Guildford Cathedral Abseil in aid of Parkinson’s UK on Saturday 18th May. It is a charity very close to her heart and to many others too and wishes to raise awareness and funding for this very worthy cause.
Alison will need to climb up the 249 steps to get to the top before she abseils down the 160ft drop of this beautiful iconic local building.
Parkinson's is a progressive neurological condition. This means that it causes problems in the brain and gets worse over time. The number of people diagnosed with Parkinson's in the UK is about 145,000. That's around 1 adult in every 350.
Parkinson's UK's work totally depends on the money raised and donated. It's only with all of our help that they can find a cure and improve the life for everyone affected by Parkinson’s.
A Parkinson's UK collection jar will be available from this Sunday in salon should you wish to pop by and make a donation, alternatively Alison has set up an online fundraising page, should you wish to make an online donation/sponsorship click the link below
